Snow. It’s what makes winter so awesome, especially for kids. When the wind chill was -40, allowing only short treks outside, we decided to bring the white stuff inside.
Daley scooped and hauled buckets of snow from outside that we dumped into the bathtub. It took a surprising amount of buckets to fill the tub.
How to Dress for a Snow Bath
Finley couldn’t wait to climb in the snow bath. We pre-thought to wear wool socks and gloves to keep hands and feet from coming in contact with the cold snow.
We hadn’t thought to put on snow pants, despite the obvious connection. When her legs got cold, the idea struck. In all, Finley went through two wardrobe changes and three pairs of wool socks.
Indoor Snowball Fun
The kids spent most of their time throwing snowballs at the shower wall. In this video, you can tell from Finley’s voice and the glint in her eye that she is thrilled to be doing something that feels illicit.
And clean-up was a snap. With the help of warm water, we melted the snow and watched it go down the drain. Simple and warmish winter fun!
